The 5 best places in Cádiz to eat sushi

Although a few years ago the idea of eating raw fish might have scared off more than a few, right now it's a trend in the cuisine of any city in the world. In this article we want to show you where you can try the best makis, uramakis, nigiris or, for the more adventurous, sashimi.

1. Tataki

Tataki is one of the first businesses that brought sushi to Cádiz, back in 2014. As they advertise, their ingredients are always fresh. As soon as you enter, you can see at the bar all the high-quality products they will use to prepare this Japanese dish. Rice with the perfect texture and quality fish, well-cut and with a generous portion. They have everything from typical sushi pieces to innovations such as flambéed rolls and fusion creations with Doritos.
We recommend booking in advance if you can. They also offer home delivery.

📍**Calle General Muñoz de Arenillas, 11**

💶 They have assorted sushi trays for one person starting at around €13

2. Gadisushi

sushi tray

In our opinion, the best sushi in the city of Cádiz. Located right inside the central market, they have fresh raw ingredients just a few meters away. They were also among the pioneers in bringing sushi and Japanese food to the city. On their menu you can find classic pieces, where we recommend the toro nigiri (tuna belly). Among their special uramakis, you can find a wide variety of flavor combinations, featuring highlights like the «Godzilla»: fried king prawn, avocado, Japanese red sauce, and masago.
Since it is located in the market, you eat in its courtyard at high tables. Perfect for sunny days. You can also order takeaway and eat it right on Campo del Sur with spectacular views.

Even though it's takeaway, the quality is top-notch. High-quality ingredients and a variety of basic sushis as well as special uramakis that will make it hard to choose. They also offer a wide selection of Poke. They also have some Japanese desserts like mochi and dorayaki.

The Japanese food chain that is a hit nationwide. Sibuya takes great care of the aesthetics of its venues, making it perfect if one of your priorities is a cozy atmosphere. As for their menu, they offer a wide variety beyond sushi. They have noodles, baos, gyozas… When it comes to sushi, the Bata Furabe Flamed Rolls stand out, but everything is delicious and they have a huge menu. If you can't decide, they will be happy to give recommendations.
