Cádiz is getting ready to welcome the overwhelming energy of Deadletter, a band redefining the boundaries of current post-punk with enviable force. Hailing from Yorkshire but seasoned in South London, these artists distill the rage of The Fall and the asymmetrical beats of LCD Soundsystem to create a vehement sound proposal. It is fascinating how they explore the shadows of everyday life through a narrative lens full of agility and freshness.

As lifelong friends, there is a telepathic connection between them that endows their music with an infectious rhythm, turning every track into a direct invitation to the dancefloor. It is an absolute treasure to find a band that maintains such determination and nuance without losing an ounce of fun. In fact, iconic presenter Steve Lamacq of BBC Radio 6 Music makes it clear: whenever anyone doubts the political commitment of emerging bands, the immediate answer is to play a record by this quintet.

Their rise has been meteoric. In 2021, they stood out with a "Tip Of The Week" on BBC Radio 1, and a year later released their debut EP, Heat!. While the world awaited their big move, in 2023 they treated us to “The Snitching Hour” in March and “Degenerate Inanimate” in July. The peak moment arrived in September 2024 with their debut LP, Hysterical Strength, a work that shattered any previous expectations, no matter how high.

The international press has fallen at their feet with spine-tingling praise. Publications such as Les Inrocks describe it as "post-punk at its most exhilarating", while NME calls it "irresistible" and NARC Magazine claims it is a "monstrously good debut". They don't hold back at Wonderland either, where they call it "sensational", or at Dock, highlighting that it is a "high-octane" album that completely grabs you from start to finish.

But the best is yet to come! Their next major project, titled Existence Is Bliss, will see the light of day on February 27, 2026, under the So Recordings label. If you want to start warming up, you can already enjoy their new single, “To The Brim”, which comes accompanied by a vibrant music video you can't miss for the world.
