‘Fotocrónica. Un año de fotoperiodismo en la provincia de Cádiz’ brings together 40 snapshots reflecting the most significant moments of 2025. Images that reflect the different regions and summarize the course of a varied province that is always full of activity. The boarding of Princesa Leonor on the training voyage of the Buque Escuela Elcano, the metal sector protests, public actions in support of Palestine, major events such as the Gran Premio de España or Sail GP, cultural and popular celebrations like Semana Santa or El Rocío, or various political and social milestones from the past 365 days all find a place in an exhibition that recalls the value of photojournalism.
A precise gaze, timely framing, the exact moment, or knowing how to look beneath the surface to endow it with informative connotations are some of the characteristics of these photos, which provide high value as a journalistic document that will be immortalized with the printing of 500 catalogues. At the same time, they also generate a great visual impact through the care taken in the production and editing of each image, which by definition must show what is there, without tricks or artifices.
Andrés Carrasco Ragel, Antonio Vázquez, Erasmo Fenoy, Eulogio García, Francis Jiménez, Germán Mesa, Jesús Marín, Joaquín Hernández ‘Kiki’, José María Reyna, Juan Antonio Bernal, Juan Carlos Toro, Julio González, Lourdes de Vicente, Manu García, Miguel Gómez, Nacho Frade and Román Ríos are the authors of this exhibition, which can be visited in the Salón Entrepatios of the Palacio Provincial until April 1, Miércoles Santo.
