Grandpa lives in his routine: he washes at the same time, has breakfast at the same time, goes for a walk at the same time. One day, his legs decide to stop walking, and little by little he fades away.
When grandpa leaves forever, those who remain build a house very close to him so he doesn't feel lonely.
Thus the story continues: peacefully, opening and closing drawers; fondly remembering, “through the magic of a desk”, what his life was like.
