The Ayuntamiento ensures its support for the urban bus ticket discount

The Ayuntamiento de Cádiz has announced that it will maintain its contribution to the urban bus fare discount in 2025, with an investment of 1.3 million euros. This was confirmed by the city's mayor, Bruno García.

According to the mayor, the current bus ticket price is 70 cents, of which the Ayuntamiento finances 15 cents and the central Government 20 cents. With this measure, the mobility department ensures that the ticket price will remain at 55 cents, pending confirmation of participation from the central Government.

Bruno García criticized the opposition for casting doubt on the extension of this subsidy and urged the PSOE and AIG groups to pressure the Government of Spain to guarantee its part of the agreement.

To reinforce its position, the Ayuntamiento has sent a letter to the Ministerio de Transportes, Movilidad y Agenda Urbana requesting a response on this matter.
