Festival Internacional del Títere Ciudad de Cádiz 2024: An essential cultural event

The Festival Internacional del Títere Ciudad de Cádiz, one of the most iconic cultural events organized by Ayuntamiento de Cádiz, kicks off its 2024 edition this Tuesday, May 20. For six days, the city will become the stage for 27 shows and two workshops, featuring 17 companies from Spain, Argentina, Peru, and France.

A diverse and accessible program

The festival, which combines indoor and outdoor performances, will take place in some of the most iconic locations in Cádiz. Venues include Sala Central Lechera, Teatro del Títere de La Tía Norica, Gran Teatro Falla, Baluarte de la Candelaria, Centro de Arte Flamenco de La Merced, Biblioteca Adolfo Suárez, Parque de Varela, Plaza de San Lorenzo del Puntal, Plaza de Candelaria, and Auditorio de Costa Rica in the Astilleros neighborhood.

Most activities are free and open to the public, allowing audiences of all ages to enjoy this cultural experience. In addition, the festival includes exclusive sessions for school groups, who will also be able to participate in two puppet-making workshops.
